Has anyone ever discovered the amount of potential possessed by God? Despite huge scientific discoveries and spiritual knowledge, our understanding of the amount of potential possessed by God is still vastly far from complete. If we cannot perfectly understand the amount of God’s potential, we cannot perfectly understand the amount of human potential because from ancient and modern-day prophets we understand that all human beings are created in the image and likeness of God. Based on the teachings of ancient and modern-day prophets, I believe and know that all people (male and female) are created in the image and likeness of God, have a brain with limitless potential and therefore have the same limitless amount of potential to become like God.
Obviously, Moses, the ancient prophet has taught us that all people (male and female) are created in the image and likeness of God and therefore have inherited absolutely the same amount of limitless potential to become like God. Moses, the inspired prophet-historian solemnly proclaimed to all people, at all times and in all places that “God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” This record from Genesis chapter one (1) verse twenty-seven (27) proclaimed by Moses was not derived from scientific research, personal opinion or from the wisdom of the Egyptians but was purely declared from the revelation received from God. I believe that the teachings of the ancient prophet Moses clearly pointed out the fact that all people (male and female) have the same limitless amount of potential in the image and likeness of God.
Also, the teachings of modern-day prophets clearly support the notion that all people have a brain with a limitless amount of potential and therefore have the same limitless amount of potential to become like God. The current Prophet of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, President Russell M. Nelson, delivered a talk in January 1988 entitled, “The Magnificence of Man”, speaking by divine inspiration from God that, “The brain serves as headquarters for the personality and character of each human being. The capacity of the brain is seemingly infinite. Wise men can become even wiser as each experience builds upon previous experience. Indeed, continuing exercise of the intellect brings forth increased intellectual capacity.” This God-given truth through President Russell M. Nelson helps us to understand that all people have the same amount of limitless brain potential. I believe that all people have the same limitless amount of brain potential and divine abilities created by God in His own image and likeness.
Many people have the notion that no two people are the same and they believe that all people have a different amount of potential. Although all people are unique, having different talents and abilities, everyone comes to earth with the same limitless potential just like their Heavenly Father in whose likeness and image they were created. In April 2017, a modern-day Prophet, Seer, and Revelator, President Henry B. Eyring, second counselor in the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in his talk entitled, “Walk with Me” said, “If you walk with the Saviour long enough, you will learn to see everyone as a child of God with limitless potential, regardless of what his or her past may have been.” I believe that knowing that everyone comes to earth with limitless potential helps to counter the notion that all people are unique and have different potential because while all people in actuality are not the same, they all have the same limitless potential to become like God. Drawing from the aforementioned quotation by President Henry B. Eyring and without any iota of doubt, I know that all people (male and female) have inherited absolutely the same amount of limitless potential from God.
Conclusively, for everyone who struggles to know that they have limitless potential. They can only come to realize that they have a potential that is not limited the moment they are able to realize who they really are. This knowledge will come to them through faith in Jesus Christ, sincere heartfelt prayers, and by the power of the Holy Ghost, they will come to know just like ancient and modern-day prophets that all people (male and female) are beloved sons and daughters of God, are all alike unto God and have a potential within them that is equally limitless to become like their Heavenly Father. I testify that God lives and Jesus is the Christ, and we are all children of God endowed with limitless potential in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
