    1. An important American artist, Park somehow fell to the wayside of the history of American art. Could be that he's from the left coast; could be that it took him a while to hit his stride. This catalogue from the Whitney retrospective of Park's work years after he passed is an excellent collection of his personal painting history. The essays/biography are standard museum catalogue fare, informational but not amazing. Park clearly died too soon and too young.
