    1. Read for work. Suffers the same problem as Fight or Flee, in that the register of the spoken dialogue isn’t consistently adjusted to the new setting, but in general I found this to be a more engaging read than the former. (I must say that I had an easier time selling the Hamlet adaptation to an audience of teen boys, possibly because it involves both murder and gang violence.)

There will always be discontent between people somewhere and that is sad.In this case the many religious and "just" skin colors can't get along.During one of the riots Rodney(a black boy) and Jawahir(a Somali girl) are together huddled in a corner and Rodney protects her after she gets hurt.Her friends and fellow Somali students and even his friends and fellow students are against them talking or anything.Jawahir wants to say thank you and once they meet again(in secret) end up falling for each [...]


    3. This is a good selection for those hard to reach, struggling readers in high school. It has a nice romance and lots of action.
