    About “Lynda Chance”

    1. Lynda Chance

Always a fan of romantic fiction, I ve always been in love with the alpha male So in love, I ve never been quite satisfied with the restrictions of series romance I like to get into a guy s mind and have him do or say exactly what he s feeling at the moment, and sometimes I shock even myself I consider my stories soft erotica one man, one woman, heterosexual But since abiding love is always the happy ending I m looking for, my couples are always monogamous My guy would never share his woman with anyone, and she is always enough to satisfy him Since I believe that love starts with lust, my stories are always highly sexual, explicit in nature, and hopefully totally satisfying to my readers I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoy writing them.

    1. This was one of those books lacking development of any kind, really, but fortunately for me, it seemed to be exactly what I was looking for. The hero was an over the top alpha bordering that line called "too-controlling-it's-abusive." And sigh, did I like him. His thoughts about just needing a warm female body on hand, were just a tad bit cringe-worthy. And the first part of the story where he uses the heroine just like a warm female body, evoked the same feelings. BUT, there were just some thin [...]

    2. 3.5 stars, really, but I usually round up.For me, this is one of those books you enjoy because it's a crazy train wreck. The H is almost psycho-jealous and the whole scenario is just WTF?! BUT, it was a fast read and I was absorbed. I liked this, but couldn't give it 5 stars due to the reason JennyG stated in her review 'not enough plot' aaaaaand what really bugged the crap out of me though is the fact that (view spoiler)[ She didn't leave his ass when she got her scholarship and didn't need his [...]

    3. Hmmmmmm It was just OKJessica's in college and has just lost her scholarship due to not hitting the mark on her GPA but she was very close she has no money and its time to move out of the dorm. She just happens to hear to frat girls talking at a party about this website where girls can hook up with a sugar daddy online to help pay for their tuition and a place to live. Jessica is desperate so she signs up. she decides to sign up even though she's only 20 and she still has her V cardEnter Connor [...]

    4. **re-read** I love Lynda Chance she is brilliant! This is my favorite book by Mrs. Chance yet (and I've loved all of her books). I devoured this book and had to pull myself away from it for the things in life that didn't seem to understand that my life now needed to pause so I could read(ugh). Jessica has just found out that she has lost her college scholarship and with nowhere to turn she decides to do something she would never consider. At a party Jessica hears girls talking about a web sight [...]

    5. 3.75 stars. As mad as I was with Conner through a lot of this story, I really couldn't totally blame him. Jessica went into the situation up front knowing what it was. Did he send mixed signals constantly? Hell yes. So for that, I liked him less. The epilogue was pretty good.

    6. As hot as hell and smutty as it can get. Fans of Lynda Chance's super-duper Alpha sex-on-a-stick males and willowy, virginal heroines won't be disappointed. Wish h had more of a backbone and more groveling from H. Despite the title, there is no (view spoiler)[cheating. Yes, they are having a sexual affair, hence the book title "Mistress" but neither is married or involved with anyone else. (hide spoiler)]

    7. 4.5 starsGet past the silly premise that sets up the relationship and this is a sweet, enjoyable story about two likeable people.

    8. Overall it wasn't a bad read but it definitely wasn't my favorite LC.* The H was an A$$hat for a good portion of the book. I understood about survivors guilt etc. but I thought it was a bit extreme.* The sex in the first portion was clinical (which I know was the point but talk about wham, bam, thank you ma'am.* The high-school type arguments between the H and the h (meaning the arguments they had in public) big pet peeve of mine is I cannot stand seeing adults arguing in public shouting and scr [...]

    9. OMG! The hero is super alpha! I cannot put the book down. I think Lynda Chance and Kristen Ashley are the Queen when it comes to writing possessive heroes. The story is a bit emotional, I felt really bad for the heroine. Specially when (view spoiler)[they are having sex, the hero wanted the heroine to just lie down facing the bed. He didn't even give her an orgasm (hide spoiler)] But It's great that we get to read Connor's POV too. The Hero was a bit of a jerk and sometimes I hated him!! But dan [...]

    10. NOT FOR ME! Mistress and mistake. Yeah I am not touching this. I have to say that the word Mistress burn my hole in romantic soul!

    11. It's been a while since I've read a Lynda Chance book.  She gives us great alphas who are ott and sexy.  This story was no exception , however, it wasn't one of my favorites .The hero was a jerk for nearly the entire book.  He never really redeemed himself. He treated the heroine horribly then hid behind the excuse of their arrangement. His reasons for his behavior were pretty lame in my opinion.  The heroine was of the doormat variety.  Desperate times had her taking drastic measures to ma [...]

    12. LOVED ITWithout giving too much away, Connor Montgmery and Jessica Conway, come together under circumstances that are not unusual or particularly outlandish. But to a young woman like Jessica who has not had much experience of relationships of any sort with men. It was a massive step for her. But she had her reasons. Jessica is at college on a scholarship, and needs to maintain a certain grade to retain the financial assistance. But when she fails to do that, she finds herself between a rock and [...]

    13. Wow! Alpha male overload!! But I love it. I can always count on Ms. Chance to give me my fix. LolSummary:Jessica is desperate for help after finding out that she has lost her scholarship. She has no one to turn to, so she does something she never would have considered and quickly comes to regret. After eavesdropping on a conversation at a party, Jess signs herself up to be a mistress to a wealthy man in exchange for money. Connor is in need of a no strings attached relationship. He wants a woman [...]

    14. 04/16/2013 --Overall Stars = 3 StarsBook Cover / Book Blurb = 3 / 3 = 3 StarsWriter’s Voice = 3.5 StarsCharacter Development = 3.5 StarsStory Appreciation = 4 StarsWorth the Chili = 3 Stars [$2.99 on ]I actually enjoyed this one. I needed a quick break and went back to an author who isn't outstanding, but writes a story I know I'll like and will be simple. The cover is a cover shared by another book I read recently; . Didn't like that one so much. Very glad this book was better to me.Not much m [...]

    15. Jessica is a 20 year old college student who needs money desperately in order to complete her studies and get her much desired degree. Her mother is in jail, she has no idea who her father is and she has no one to turn to. Connor is a millionaire widower who wants sex but not emotional attachments so he decides the best way is to pay for a mistress. Of course he eventually gets more than he bargained for because they can't fight their feelings for long. I loved it! I loved how innocent and pure [...]

    16. I think I'm being very generous to give it 2.5 stars. Hero was very cold/emotionless through most of the book and while yes, he was possessive of her, I didn't quite believe it since most of the book was about his pleasures, his wants, his desires. Was almost hoping she'd leave his ass and leave him to his lonely life.

    17. This might be my favorite LC! I loved this one. (In an embarrassing I-can't-believe-I'm-reading-these-crazy-LC-books sort of way).:^)

    18. I THOROUGHLY LOVED THIS BOOK!It gripped me right from the start. It was hawt, intense, and filled with emotional angst. Damn, do I love possessive, jealous characters! Our hero Connor, wow, pursues a cold emotionless arrangement as he wants sex without the entanglements. Jessica on the other hand, wants to continue with her college education, however, since she can't get any loans she agrees to be a willing partner and mistress to Conner. At first, their relationship is a bit painful to read as th [...]

    19. Ok What.The.Hell.UghI don't know."All I want is sex, I'll never want anything more. I want a female body, a vessel. And I'm willing to pay for it. That's it."ok"There won't be anything deviant, I'd never hurt you, but this won't be making love. It's going to be fucking, you understand?"yes"It's not going to be pretty, no flowers and no jewelry. I'm not going to seduce you. You're going to take my money, and in return, I get to fuck you." "How often do you think you'll want to have sex?""A lot. Y [...]

    20. If you're looking for a fast, hot read, then this is the book to get it from. The story was rather predictable, but you still get to see how it all plays out.Connor is your brooding alpha male who is just looking for sex (surprise, surprise), no commitment. Jessica is our innocent flower who is desperate for money and decides to seek out some financial assistance by way of this website - which is how she meets our H.Their relationship starts off strictly sexual, as per their arrangement. But, of [...]

    21. Ok.is was entertaining but I wouldn't call it a romance bookI don't know what I would call it seeing as the heroe was an asshole most of the time (and not a cute asshole, more of an asshole. Period) and the way the author justifies his behaviorwell, let's just say she could have come up with something better to redeem him.

    22. It's probably me and not the book, but the end result is the same: I didn't like this story as much as several GR friends of mine did. Oh well, that's life. You win some, you lose some.

    23. this was a really compelling read. Geology student Jessica finds herself totally at a loss when her scholarship is withdrawn and she cannot get a loan or otherwise pay her fees and expenses for the next term/year. She is left in a position whereby she literally does not have accommodation beyond the end of the week. At a party she hears mention of a fellow student who effectively became a mistress through a website and used the the money to pay her way through university. In desperation and in a [...]

    25. I am not going to explain what the book is about because you can get that from the blurb. These are just my thoughts on the book.Another brilliant book by Lynda Chance. The Hero Connor is a little more screwed up than her usual Alphas and some of his domination regarding who she could hang out with made me feel slightly uncomfortable. But there are always little bits of the story from his POV, so the reader knows that he is messed up which I found helped me get over this issue and I looked forwa [...]

    26. another good Lynda Chance book, but not an easy read.Lynda Chance books always make me feel emotion, there's something in the combination of an uber-alpha male and his single-minded, targeted pursuit of the heroine that LC does so well. She never fails to make me feel the urgency, the anxiety, the relief and all other emo things that both the characters are going through. In this way, I think this is another successful book by LC, a roller-coaster ride of emotions, even if the events that occur [...]

    27. Honestly, 'The Mistress Mistake' really disturbed me. It just left me with an 'eck' feeling in my stomach after I finished it. I didn't feel the love between the H and h. He was extremely possessive of her just because she signed a contract, He also treated her badly in my opinion. Like not even considering her feelings at all. Simply using her as a hole to fuck basically. Very clinical.I liked the heroine well enough. I get her desperation etc but I also really just wanted her to freak the fuck [...]

    28. I really like this book. It had that "Diana Palmer"-esque feel. You know the gruff alpha male that is of few words and you are suppose to know what he's thinking but you actually just think he is a sexy asshole. Then there is the innocent who is pretty but has lead a rather quiet life due to circumstances. Lastly, there is an age difference and in this case Jessica is 20 and Connor is 28.I am a total sucker for those type of books and I was sucked into this story, too. I have no problem with the [...]

    29. Lynda Chance's heroes are über alphas. They are arrogant, controlling, possessive assholes. Connor, though, was on another level. This is the first time I was ever uncomfortable with one of her hero's actions. He treated Jessica horribly and it was heart wrenching to read. If I did not have so much faith in LC, I probably would have DNFed this bitch about 25% in. I held out though, and am glad I did. Connor redeemed himself beautifully.
