    1. This book really surprised me with how much I liked it. I loved that the setting of the book was just getting to college, where you finally have that freedom from your parents, where anything is possible, and where you really start to figure out who you are.Jules reserved demeanor didn't endear her to me at the start, but she won me over as she tried to fit in and embrace her new life. Yes, at the start she just went along with Jade and her other friends, but it wasn't too long before she wasn't [...]

    2. Tenderfoot is a good read, but I did have a few thoughts on what the author could take into consideration. Today’s teenagers probably wouldn’t reference a Karen Carpenter song when their falling for a guy. I loved her, but most teens likely don’t know who she is. I really don't think a teenage girl would say, "my, my, my”. The term is OMG! And, I liked the overall storyline, but the plot needed to be fleshed out more. I'm sure more is coming in the second book, but if the author would’ [...]

    3. Amy Tupper has provided a slightly different coming-of-age story in Tenderfoot. Julianna, or Jules, is starting college when she notices that her sight has changed. She can read the text in a book from across the room. She can also hear through walls and her sense of taste has gone completely wild (she can actually picture the surroundings of an animal when eating meat and diary products). If that wasn't weird enough, she can also "hear" the thoughts of others, okay not everyone but just one per [...]

    4. This book starts off slow but by the end I was somewhat hooked. Julianna aka Jules is a college freshman who comes to find out she has paranormal senses. For most of the book the story follows Julianna around college campus as she is getting into the grove of being a college student. I almost stopped reading it because I just wasn't interested in reading about the characters going to class or going out to a bar drinking. As the story progresses we start to learn more about Julianna's parents and [...]

    5. From the moment I started reading this book, I couldn’t put it down. It is a Young Adult book that manages to break the mold of paranormal romance, which with the number of them out there right now, is a feat all on its own.The characters were well developed, an interesting blend of personalities that made for very amusing dialogue. The main character, Julianna, or Jules, is headstrong yet charming and manages to do more than pout and wait for men to rescue her, unlike some other YA heroines. [...]

    6. This book had me hooked from the first page to the last. The characters and plot were amazing. The young college student discovering her supernatural abilities among dangerous situations keeps the reader's heart racing. The characters are well developed with rare traits of chivalry, trust and loyalty. There is a love story in the mix too. It is powering to emphasized with characters who are there to protect her from the unknown evil forces that crossed her path. Her mentor, lover, and family are [...]

    7. Tenderfoot is a powerful mystery diving into the world of supernatural. It has element of surprises and twists which keeps a reader's attention with each turn of the page. It introduces the reader to the world of average teenagers, yet not so average. They have gifts beyond the earthly realm which leads them on the journey to not just begin life as college students but as warriors to protect the unsuspecting humanity of the unknown dark realm. The characters are rich and diverse. There are hidde [...]

    8. I love discovering a new author and Amy Tupper has really impressed me. I really enjoyed Tenderfoot, in fact, I couldn't put it down. I loved the setting of the book and the character development. My only disappointment was that the book ended and now I have to wait for the next installment!
