    1. This is an interesting story about unconditional love and its outcome. The main character really infuriated me and I wanted to tell her to "wake up" and realize what was really going on with her husband!

    2. A Shower of Roses by Tom MiltonWon this book in a contest and just got around to readng it. Starts out where Eva and Marek are in London where he's a banker and does CIA work in Poland. She is a USA pediatric nurse but it's going to take some time to be able to get the same job in London. She is friends with Julianna who plays the harpsichord as her husband is friends with Marek. The girls don't hang out much. When Marek is back in town he invites other Polish males over and Eva notices they are b [...]

    3. I won this book through FirstReads. I was initially drawn to this book because my family is partly of Polish descent. This book is a mix of unconditional love from one woman to a man as she devotes herself to him knowing he could be arrested at any time. There is an adventure element to the plot with international intrigue and the involvement of government agencies that separate this book from the usual "happily-ever-after story". The struggles faced by the couple left me turning pages rapidly! [...]

    4. I received this book through First Reads. When I first started reading this book, I didn't think I was going to like it, but after the first chapter, I did really begin to enjoy it. I'm not a history buff, so I'm not sure how acurrate it is, but it was interesting to read about how strongly the Polish are affected by their country. I would recommend this book to anyone because it does have something, be it a love story, adventure, or suspense, for everyone.

    5. I probably never would have read this book if I hadn't won it for free from the giveaways on this site. But, I'm glad that I had the chance to, because it ended up being really good. It was more sad than I expected, but it helped make the book as good as it was.

    6. thanks , just received in the mail today and can't wait to get started. This was a great story with just enough twist to keep you wanting more

    7. Weird, unbelievble characters. I don't know if anyone could be as naive as Eva, one of the main characters of this book.
